I'm one of the expats who had to learn the hard way that, as a brunette in Singapore, if you fail to do your homework before getting your hair colored, you will likely end up with some eye-catching orange highlights. After freaking out, I did some serious research and found Trimmings- which specializes in color correction. I figured- if they have color correction as an item on their menu of services, they must know what they're doing- and thank goodness, they do!
Benson did the color correction on me a couple of weeks ago- and while he did a great job, I found that the new color was just TOO dark for me. (A necessity to fully cover the orange.) After a few weeks, i felt like i really need to brighten up again, and the experience with Benson gave me the courage to come back to Trimmings. Sean, another senior stylist, did my balyage highlights, and he seriously NAILED it. I explained my situation to him, told him what i was looking for, and BEGGED him not to turn my hair orange, copper, auburn, or any other shade of not-found-in-nature. He totally got it, and guided me toward the perfect color.
It was on the pricey side ($350 sing), but it was worth it for the beautiful job he did.
I have finally found my official hair stylist in Singapore- done and done.
